About us

Who we are

The past four decades in the world have projected an extraordinary explosion of entrepreneurship and heightened competition in the Social sector.

The Social sector has just discovered that there is nothing as powerful as a big, innovative and sustainable new idea in the hands of a first class social entrepreneur.
Care of the Estranged Foundation (COTE) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization that seeks to build ‘social profit’ in the areas of Health and Education through its social welfare projects aimed at improving the quality of Life and Healthcare in Nigeria.
COTE was established in April 2004, by young people, who were grossly dissatisfied with the nonchalant attitude displayed towards people ( especially the poor, the sick and the Unemployed); who were faced with a lot of hardships as a result of economic and health challenges, particularly those Estranged from family members or passing through emotional trauma.
COTE is truly determined with plans and strategies that are sustainable in alleviating the plight of the Estranged of the society for over twenty years of its operation in both Lagos and Enugu States of Nigeria.

Our approach

Our Mission

To give love, share hope and provide quality education and healthcare delivery services to Estranged Youths irrespective of their social status.

Our Vision

To uphold a Nigeria with increased Love, Care and Support for the Sick, Unemployed and Underserved Youths in the society.

Our Objectives

  • To set-up and sustain an Empowerment centre that will transform the lives of the unemployed and Underserved Youths in Nigeria.
  • To train these Youths with the necessary Vocational, Employability, Entrepreneurial and Digital Skills. These skills will enable them to start local and compete globally.
  • To teach them the principles of Servant Leadership as a necessary tool for re-orientation of mindsets, so that they will ‘seek to serve others first’.
  • To accommodate and engage them in sustainable Integrated Organic Agribusinesses, as a way of promoting healthier food products and exports in the country.
  • To conduct seminars and workshops on key global issues like Climate change, Global warming, Waste-to-Wealth, Renewable Energy etc
  • To raise funds for the sustainability of the Foundation.
